Junior Programs

At Brookfield Country Club, we offer junior development programs for the children and grandchildren of our members. Our long-established programs cover golf (ages 5+), tennis, and swimming (ages 3+), giving children the opportunity to learn something new and stay active in their free time.

Tennis Clinics and Junior Interclub

Brookfield’s Junior tennis clinics are a series of one-hour lessons for small to large groups that meet for six weeks. Juniors have the option of attending Tuesdays, Thursdays, or both days per week. Players will have the opportunity to learn various strokes as well as strategies.

Clinics are broken into varying levels of ability from beginners with emphasis on developing fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination, to advanced juniors who are looking to develop stroke technique, court movement, game strategy and shot selection.

Junior Interclub is a competitive match play program designed to allow children the opportunity to play singles and doubles against children from other country clubs. Emphasis is placed on a competitive yet friendly environment where learning is primary.

Junior Golf

Brookfield Country Club Junior Academy is powered by Operation 36. The concept of the Operation 36 program is to teach our Juniors using a green-to-tee approach. This is contrary to previous teaching methods which used a tee-to-green approach. All juniors begin from 25 yards and progress when the goal of 36 or better on 9-holes is achieved. Our program puts an emphasis on the short game and allows the Juniors to become accustomed to shooting lower scores. Ultimately, it our goal is to give our Juniors the necessary skills to succeed at the game of golf for many years to come.

Children ages 7-16 will have a combination of Match Days (play days), Academies (clinics) and open supervised practice sessions under the guidance of the Professional Staff. Brookfield Country Club offers programs for children ages 5 & 6 called the Future 36ers and a Junior Academy program for all other children ages 7-16.

Swimming and Diving Team

Is your child a budding swimmer looking to join a fun and supportive team? Our Swimming and Diving team offers a fantastic opportunity for kids to become stronger swimmers while relishing a family-friendly atmosphere. Many of our young athletes have gone through our lesson program, making their transition to the team smoother and more enjoyable. With practices scheduled four days a week, including morning and night sessions, there's flexibility to accommodate busy schedules. Plus, for our younger swimmers aged 11 and under, we encourage a maximum of three practices a week to ensure they continue to love the sport.

Swimming Lessons Program

For the little ones who want to build confidence in the water, our lessons program is the ideal choice. Held two days a week for six weeks during the summer, these sessions offer a nurturing environment where children can develop essential swimming skills. Our experienced instructors create a safe and enjoyable learning experience for your youngsters, helping them become more confident and capable swimmers.
